Inventory Management Lead II

ADUSA Procurement serves as a vital partner to Ahold Delhaize USA, delivering supply chain solutions that facilitate the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses. As part of the Ahold Delhaize USA family, ADUSA Procurement collaborates with five prominent omnichannel grocery brands: Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.
Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in overseeing the In-stock team across various locations, ensuring effective inventory management to bolster our esteemed Local Brands. The position entails direct accountability for establishing targets and managing inventory Days of Supply (DOS) objectives for Non-Perishable products within designated warehouse facilities. The role encompasses management of over $160 million in annual Purchase Orders and $25+ million in warehouse inventory. Additionally, this position will lead inbound logistics operations, manage unsaleable inventory, ensure vendor compliance, and provide insights and analytics for day-to-day private brand service management in collaboration with assigned categories. This role will engage with senior-level CPG Supply Chain partners, which include over 2,000 suppliers, as well as AD USA Supply Chain operations and Merchants across all ADUSA brands.
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes three in-person days at one of our core locations and two remote days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement strategies for Forecasting and Replenishment solutions across multiple brands for assigned categories and distribution centers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to analysts to achieve Vendor Fill Rate (VFR), on-time delivery (OTIF), DC to store Service Level (SL), On Shelf Availability (OSA), Operational Service Level, Forecast Accuracy & Bias, DOS, and unsaleable loss. Identify root causes for any shortfalls in these metrics and work to eliminate barriers to success.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, maximizing their contributions and professional growth while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive In Stock performance through fostering a diverse and collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with peers in procurement, logistics, and brand operations to ensure optimal OSA at the best net cost while meeting inventory turnover and working capital targets.
- Conduct regular Supply Chain reviews with key suppliers to maintain or enhance performance across assigned categories.
- Advocate for accountability among vendors to meet expectations and drive tactical recommendations to internal categories.
- Stay updated on category trends and supplier issues that may impact Brand sales, ensuring proactive management of potential challenges.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, vendors, and brokers.
- Ensure timely communication regarding inventory transactions and resolve issues related to out-of-stocks.
- Support the procurement team in addressing day-to-day challenges and serve as a decision-maker for larger issues.
- Thorough understanding of Supply Chain networks and future Replenishment needs for Non-Perishable departments.
- Extensive experience in demand management best practices, including forecasting, replenishment, and vendor collaboration.
- General knowledge of company, business, and industry practices.
- Awareness of industry trends and the state of the supplier's business.
- Strong expertise in inventory planning and forecasting techniques, as well as operational systems and warehouse management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with executive-level management, both written and verbal.
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, thriving under pressure.

- General product knowledge of assigned categories.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields, or ten years of experience in procurement, Supply Chain, or a related area.
- 3+ years of experience in Forecasting & Replenishment, Logistics, and optimization techniques.
- 1+ years of experience in leadership roles (preferred).
- Experience in Store Operations is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing external partners and vendors.
