In the role of Police Corporal, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and security of the University community while providing guidance during various situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations and assist in preparing duty rosters.
  • Take charge in the absence of the Sergeant and oversee special tasks.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external agencies.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED with relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Candidates must possess a District of Columbia Special Police Commission and fulfill necessary qualifications. A valid driver's license and the ability to work rotating shifts are mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Completion of a law enforcement training academy is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with criminal law and campus security protocols.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to change and a positive mindset.

Location: Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C.
