The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team.

This position is located in the Human Support Services Cluster, Department of Disability Services/Office of Disability Rights, and is responsible for a range of accounting functions associated with the day-to-day fiscal operations.

The incumbent will serve as an expert advisor in the planning, development, and implementation of new and existing accounting programs, systems, and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring accurate recordation of agency Fixed/Capital assets in the system
  • Creating financial reports
  • Recommending management action when analysis indicates a trend that could lead to an underpayment or overpayment for services provided
  • Developing internal controls which provide alternatives and/or solutions to improve operating program effectiveness and efficiency and resolving complex audit adjustment issues presented by the independent auditors and Office of Inspector General

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Five (5) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 24 semester hours in accounting
