Weekly Hours: 40
Employment Status: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Position Overview:
The Patient Care Representative I serves as the first point of contact for members of Capital Health Plan (CHP) seeking medical assistance. This role involves answering incoming calls and accurately entering data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, which is essential for the scheduling and management of health-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize appointment schedules.
- Collect necessary fees and manage patient medical records.
- Facilitate patient enrollment in electronic communication platforms, such as the Patient Portal.
- Handle incoming messages and assist in optimizing patient flow within the department.
- Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds is necessary.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in a medical office setting and familiarity with medical terminology.
Experience with Microsoft Windows is advantageous.
