As a Card Services Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include identifying, verifying, and resolving cardholder MasterCard and Visa account issues for credit unions through our dispute and credit union services teams. You will handle fraud and dispute claims, including chargebacks, bond claims, file closures, and other recovery rights. The Card Services Support Specialist will monitor all inquiries from cardholders and credit unions, directing technical questions to the appropriate personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to all inquiries from user credit unions within established timeframes and complete necessary documentation for all posting rejects while ensuring accurate adjustments to cardholder accounts.
  2. Prepare and send correspondence to cardholders regarding the status of their disputes.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of cardholder account information and adhere to security protocols when responding to inquiries.
  4. Assist credit union personnel and members with general inquiries via incoming telephone calls, providing accurate routing of inquiries to the appropriate departments.
  5. Review and complete bookkeeping journals for client credit unions.
  6. Input data to establish new cardholder accounts or update account statuses such as closed, delinquent, or bankruptcy.
  7. Accurately post payments to members' accounts within designated timeframes.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least one year of experience with VISA/Mastercard credit card operations and exception processing.
  3. One year of customer service experience.
  4. Ability to work in a paperless environment using Document Imaging Printers.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Schedule:

The Card Services Support Specialist position requires onsite work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
