Position Overview:

Myticas Consulting is in search of a skilled and experienced A/V Systems Specialist. This role is essential for the smooth operation of daily meetings, corporate events, and classroom arrangements through effective management of audio/visual (A/V) technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for technology, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ongoing learning and the implementation of advanced A/V solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • A/V Equipment Oversight: Facilitate the delivery, setup, operation, and collection of A/V technology for meetings, events, and classroom arrangements according to the scheduling calendar and immediate requests.
  • System Management: Operate comprehensive A/V systems, encompassing video conferencing, projection, audio playback, and remote-control functionalities.
  • Event Support: Assist in coordinating A/V requirements for corporate events, collaborating with vendors and facility personnel as necessary.
  • Video Recording: Operate video cameras to capture programs and events; execute video and audio duplication, including proper media labeling and documentation.
  • Technology Deployment: Aid in the introduction of new technologies, equipment, and network services related to video conferencing and A/V operations across the organization.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and promptly resolve A/V equipment and connectivity challenges.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of A/V equipment and supplies, oversee repair requirements, and manage the replacement of non-functional, damaged, or outdated equipment.
  • Web Conferencing Management: Schedule, initiate, and troubleshoot web conferencing platforms.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in setting up, interconnecting, and operating a diverse range of A/V equipment, including projectors, screens, video switchers, document cameras, and computers.
  • Network Troubleshooting Skills: Capable of diagnosing network connectivity issues and integrating meetings with web and audio conferencing solutions.
  • A/V Equipment Proficiency: Experienced in configuring and operating video and audio equipment, including digital cameras, audio mixers, microphones, and public address systems.
  • Media Duplication Skills: Competent in performing all tasks related to DVD, VHS, DVCam, and audio tape duplication, including basic editing and precise media labeling.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Continuous Learning: A strong desire to learn and adapt to new A/V technologies and systems.
