About this role:

This is a unique opportunity to join Gateway Foundation as a Director of Business Development. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of business development professionals to drive revenue growth and expand our services in the behavioral health industry.

As a Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities. You will work closely with our sales team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of our business development efforts.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, referral sources, and community organizations. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building trust and credibility with these stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our services in the behavioral health industry.
  • Lead a team of business development professionals to ensure effective execution of business development efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, referral sources, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with our sales team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of our business development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the behavioral health industry and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles, preferably in the healthcare or addiction treatment industry.
  • 3-5 years of administrative management experience, preferably in behavioral health treatment or other healthcare field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of direct sales management and business development strategies, techniques, and common practices.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Active listening skills, persuasion, and negotiation skills to develop and build referral relationships, implement change, and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment services and behavioral healthcare landscape is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel 4-5 days of the week throughout IL.
