Role Summary:
This position is focused on executing direct sales initiatives within the designated territory. The primary responsibilities include fostering and nurturing robust relationships with key referral contacts and pinpointing new avenues to enhance market visibility and stimulate growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Operations teams to formulate annual sales and marketing strategies for all primary offerings within the assigned territory.
- Dedicate 90% of work hours to engaging in productive, face-to-face sales and marketing activities.
- Engage in daily communication through writing, speaking, and presenting to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop market-specific strategies in conjunction with the Executive Director to boost volume, revenue, and overall market share.
- Oversee field activities that generate increased referrals from established accounts and cultivate new account referrals.
- Achieve predetermined sales call targets and other key performance indicators as set by the Executive Director.
- Manage initial outreach, meetings, and follow-up communications as necessary.
- Implement procedures that yield a 65% commitment rate from qualified inquiries.
- Work closely with the Executive Director to create and deliver internal training for critical staff regarding their roles in the sales and marketing process.
- Identify and propose new product or service offerings and enhancements to existing services.
- Maintain current knowledge of service trends and competitor activities, including market data and marketing strategies.
- Facilitate strategic partnerships and assist in recruitment efforts.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with referral account personnel.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
- Travel as required for industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance for daily travel.
- At least two years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape and referral networks, including acute and post-acute care markets.
- Familiarity with administrative practices and procedures relevant to marketing operations.
- Experience with insurance companies, private case management firms, or HMOs is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively leverage both local and corporate resources in fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding established conversion targets.
- Capable of executing tasks independently without constant oversight.
- Ability to make sound decisions when necessary.
- Skilled in interacting tactfully with diverse individuals.
- Experience in public speaking and conducting training sessions.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel using various modes of transportation.
