Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the City Facility Management Division. This position involves assisting in the management, allocation, and evaluation of the work performed by staff dedicated to maintaining city facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and reviewing the tasks of maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to established quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Facility Manager, addressing complex issues related to facility maintenance.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the division's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Foster positive relationships with staff and external stakeholders, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a solid background in general construction, mechanical or electrical engineering, or building maintenance, with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, including three years in a supervisory capacity. A Bachelor's Degree in architecture or engineering is also acceptable.

Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and specifications.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups.
