Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the facility by addressing maintenance issues proactively. This position encompasses a variety of repair tasks, preventive maintenance duties, and direct involvement in projects within the instrumentation and controls sector. Maintenance tasks may be executed internally or outsourced, depending on workload and repair complexity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes, schedules, and oversees project work to ensure performance aligns with customer expectations.
  • Coordinates activities among subcontractors, customers, and company personnel at the facility.
  • Adjusts project timelines based on evolving site conditions to meet deadlines.
  • Facilitates communication of engineering modifications between the engineering team and customer representatives.
  • Provides essential technical input to expedite engineering changes.
  • Conducts mechanical and electrical inspections to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Addresses non-conformance issues through necessary engineering adjustments.
  • Maintains and secures company equipment designated for job sites, including essential tools and technology.
  • Records site activities to support customer billing, engineering evaluations, and project tracking.
  • Documents all modifications and 'as-built' conditions during project initiation.
  • Offers technical insights to engineering and project management teams to enhance design reviews and project oversight.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and concerns, fostering trust and collaboration with both customers and colleagues.
  • Maintains effective communication with various departments to support planning and budgetary goals.
  • Efficiently manages time and critical information to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
  • Complies with safety protocols in line with company and OSHA guidelines, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Ensures accurate and concise reporting and correspondence tailored to the intended audience.
  • Adheres to all company policies and legal regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma required; an Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with peers and management.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Background in engineering design or industrial manufacturing is advantageous.
  • 30-hour OSHA General Industry training is a plus.
  • Five years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of programming logic controllers and process instrumentation is beneficial.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in business software applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); familiarity with MRP/ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including arithmetic and geometry.
  • Knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring equipment and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Understanding of rotating equipment and material handling safety.
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and hydraulics.

Salary Information:

$21 - $26 / hr
