The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for overseeing all functions within the Maintenance Division.

This role encompasses the management of a comprehensive program that guarantees all assets, including production machinery, auxiliary equipment, buildings, and grounds, are maintained to the highest standards.

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will also cultivate and lead a team dedicated to exceptional customer service through collaborative efforts; establish and oversee an annual budget that adjusts expenditures in line with actual production levels, and partner with plant leadership to uphold set KPIs.

Experience in the Food & Beverage sector is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs, inspires, and empowers a team to achieve results by articulating company objectives, safety protocols, and timelines; fostering teammate development through effective performance management, coaching, and training.
  • Applies continuous improvement strategies while maintaining a customer-centric approach, embodying the company's mission and values to promote servant leadership.
  • Creates and consistently enhances a detailed, department-specific business strategy ensuring all facility assets, including production machinery, auxiliary equipment, and premises, are maintained through strategic scheduling of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Collaborates with the plant leadership team to ensure that Annual Business Plan objectives and other KPIs are met.
  • Formulates and executes action plans to address underperforming metrics by actively engaging in meetings, management reviews, and audits.
  • Assesses the financial requirements of facility assets and manages the department's annual budget to align with actual production levels and business needs.
  • Tracks monthly employee training requirements to ensure timely completion of all necessary elements.
  • Plans and implements Capital Expenditure Projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery, with FATs completed upfront when necessary, and ensures all projects are closed promptly through the Engineering and Accounting Departments with required project outcomes achieved.
  • Supports and engages in established best practices through Management System initiatives, including ISO and KORE Standards.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC Networking, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, and Beverage Equipment Operations and repair.
  • Ability to manage both in-house and capital projects, from scheduling contractors and vendors to understanding the financial implications on the plant's cost centers or Capital Budgeting Process.
  • Work environment: 25% office, 75% industrial.
  • Weekend work may be required, including some holidays, to meet customer demands on Capital and Non-Capital projects.
  • Exposure to elevated equipment noise levels necessitating hearing protection; some outdoor work may be required to address facility maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a similar industry.
  • Experience in a Proactive Maintenance system environment preferred, including familiarity with ISO Standards and SAP Maintenance; PLC experience is advantageous.
  • High degree of professionalism and strong project management skills.
  • Ability to influence peer decision-making and effectively communicate with all organizational levels, possessing strong presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Advanced PC skills and a proactive nature, with a commitment to fostering positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and staff.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism aligned with the company's mission and values.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts clearly across all organizational levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate's degree or up to 3 years of college or technical training.
  • Experience in beverage or food manufacturing is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge gained through 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • A four-year degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical discipline is a plus but can be offset by experience.
