Liver Transplant Anesthesia Fellow

At VCU Health - MCV Physicians, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of liver transplant anesthesiology. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated anesthesiology fellow to join our team as a Liver Transplant Anesthesia Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching and Supervision: Provide guidance and supervision to residents and CRNAs in liver transplant cases, as well as other specialty-specific cases.
- Clinical Experience: Participate in pre-transplant candidate assessments for the multi-disciplinary liver transplant selection committee and work closely with transplant hepatology, transfusion medicine, and transplant critical care medicine.
- Education and Research: Engage in academic projects, receive a stipend for conferences and academic resources, and work towards basic certification in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography.
- MD or DO degree
- ABA board eligible/certified in anesthesiology
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
- Excellent communication, clinical, and teaching skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to do so
