Cardiac Anesthesiologist Job Opportunity

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our team at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a call-taking schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for the medical management of patients undergoing cardiac surgery and other medical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • TEE proficiency is required
  • Completion of Cardiac Fellowship
  • ECFMC and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
