Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transplant Nephrologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching, and research in the field of Transplant Nephrology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate and efficient patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students using adult teaching methods
  • Participate in clinical and administrative research, including mentoring and supervision of fellows and residents
  • Work with institutional and administrative staff to achieve the objectives of Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU Health
  • Comply with billing, documentation, credentialing, and other administrative requirements
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
  • Direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients
  • Completion of accredited fellowship in General Nephrology
  • Interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Renal Transplant Fellowship
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a diverse team providing effective communication
