Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Vets Hired. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain our Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Firewall and Security: Administer and configure our firewalls, IDS, and IPS systems to protect our network from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Cabling Management: Manage and maintain our cabling infrastructure to ensure efficient and reliable network connectivity.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure our network infrastructure is secured in accordance with DISA STIGs, maintaining the highest level of security and compliance.
  • Clearance: Possess a Secret Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 infrastructure, firewall, IDS, and IPS administration and configuration.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in network security and infrastructure management are a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
