Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer to join our team at Advanced Technology Innovation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and practical mechanical or electro-mechanical concepts and designs for components, assemblies, tools, and products of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Create detailed designs for mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, vendors, manufacturing, quality, and customers to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Design Validation: Conduct thorough reviews of designs to ensure they are free of layout process defects and meet all relevant engineering and military standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) methodologies, theories, and techniques to design and develop complex mechanical systems.
  • Document Review: Review and verify the accuracy of engineering documents, including calculations and dimensions, to ensure compliance with industry standards and procedures.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide expert technical consultation to the division and customer community on comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of design principles and practices.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Creo 7.0 and experienced in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Military Standards: Comprehensive knowledge of military drawings and specifications, including applicable MILSPEC/STD's.

Requirements:

  • Current Creo 7 experience required.
  • MBD experience a plus.
