We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer to join our team at Advanced Technology Innovation. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and practical mechanical or electro-mechanical concepts and designs for components, assemblies, tools, and products of varying complexity.
Key Responsibilities:- Design Development: Create detailed designs for mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, vendors, manufacturing, quality, and customers to ensure design specifications are met.
- Design Validation: Conduct thorough reviews of designs to ensure they are free of layout process defects and meet all relevant engineering and military standards.
- Technical Expertise: Apply advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) methodologies, theories, and techniques to drive design innovation and efficiency.
- Document Review: Review and validate various completed engineering documents to ensure compliance with engineering and military standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions.
- Technical Consultation: Provide expert technical consultation to the division and customer community on comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of design principles and best practices.
- Technical Requirements: Current experience with Creo 7 is required, with MBD experience being a plus. Proficiency in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is also essential.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of military drawings and specifications, and applicable MILSPEC/STD's is necessary to ensure designs meet industry standards.
