Job Summary

Lipscomb University is seeking a highly skilled Digital Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy to engage with prospective students, families, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Social Media Management
    • Develop and execute a social media content calendar to increase engagement and reach across various platforms.
    • Collaborate with the Public Relations office to ensure consistency and alignment with the university's main social media channels.
    • Track and analyze social media metrics to assess performance and inform strategy adjustments.
  • Content Creation and Video Production
    • Capture high-quality video content at various admissions events, such as Lipscomb Fridays, Accepted Student Events, and Summer Scholars.
    • Utilize footage to create compelling promotional videos for social media, email campaigns, and other university platforms.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
    • Coordinate with the University Marketing and the Undergraduate Admissions team to synchronize social media content with digital/print marketing initiatives and important admissions deadlines.
  • Email Marketing and Written Communication
    • Work closely with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Communication to develop new strategic email communication plans and monthly marketing initiatives.
    • Support the Assistant Director of Enrollment Communication on various assignments, including copywriting, content development, graphic design, working with our marketing vendors and auditing communication plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with social media content creation, managing content calendars, and tracking analytics.
