Job Description

Job Summary:

The Office of Court Administration is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Court Services Consultant. This position requires a strong background in court administration, judicial operations, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and consulting services to judges, clerks, and court personnel on court administration matters, with a focus on caseflow management.
  • Conduct caseflow management reviews in Texas courts and provide training on best practices.
  • Develop and implement projects and programs to improve the administrative operation of the courts and increase accessibility.
  • Market the Office of Court Administration's technical assistance and consulting services, case management review services, and court improvement projects and programs.
  • Assist in the Office of Court Administration's clearinghouse function by providing information on best practices and innovative court programs in Texas and other states.
  • Identify emerging problems and trends in judicial administration and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform related work as assigned and comply with all Office of Court Administration policies.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, court administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in court administration, judicial operations, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently with high-ranking public officials and elected officials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to operate standard office equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Perform sedentary office work, with occasional travel required to conduct agency business.
  • Must sit for extended periods of time and may be required to move equipment or other materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
