Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the Food & Beverage General Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of restaurant operations. This includes managing various dining venues and ensuring a profitable and high-quality service experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies, minimizing staff turnover, and maintaining budgetary goals while upholding exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through attentive service.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and staff management.
  • Maintain compliance with all departmental policies and service standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings with staff to communicate essential updates.
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items and beverage selections.
  • Establish inventory levels and manage supply requisitions.
  • Monitor sales and costs, ensuring alignment with budget expectations.
  • Prepare staff schedules based on operational needs.
  • Support the development of team members through training and mentorship.
  • Evaluate and enhance operational processes for improved performance.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage daily operational tasks, including staff supervision and guest interactions.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings and community events as required.
  • Utilize software tools for operational management and reporting.
  • Maintain an organized and secure work environment.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities that inspire team members to excel.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and have 3-5 years of experience in hotel or food and beverage operations within a luxury setting. Strong leadership skills, proficiency in computer systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork are required for this role.
