About Path Construction

Path Construction is a rapidly growing commercial general contractor with a diverse portfolio of projects across the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers, contract administration, procurement, estimating, pay requests, change orders, requests for information, cost control, scheduling, tracking submittals, and maintaining a high level of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Administer contracts, including procurement, payment, and change order management.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including critical path method (CPM) and program evaluation and review technique (PERT) analysis.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Provide support to project managers in the development of project proposals, bids, and contracts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project safety plans and protocols.
  • Participate in project meetings, including project kick-off, progress, and close-out meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction management, including experience with commercial general contracting.
  • OSHA Site Safety Experience.
  • Up-to-date with modern technology and excellent communication skills.
  • General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a positive motor vehicle record.
  • Working knowledge of project management process and software (Microsoft Office and SAGE 300 CRE).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.

  • OSHA 30 Hour Training.
  • LEED Project Experience.
