Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Riggs Companies, a prominent player in the commercial concrete construction sector. The Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and compliance with client specifications and quality benchmarks. This role involves supporting the project team and Superintendents with various responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle. It is a full-time office position that may require extended hours, reflecting our commitment to delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Utilize takeoff software and Excel to prepare project proposals in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in formulating project plans, timelines, and financial estimates. Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Contract Oversight: Review project contracts and specifications to ensure adherence and identify critical requirements. Aid in managing contract modifications and variations.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise work quality and compliance with safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders. Effectively communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers. Assess subcontractor proposals, negotiate agreements, and oversee performance.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in tracking project costs, forecasting, and reporting. Monitor expenditures to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, logs, and reports. Generate regular status updates for management and clients.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction and support to project teams. Encourage a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Business Development: Assist in building new relationships with potential clients while nurturing existing client partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a construction-related role is required.
  • Fundamental understanding of commercial concrete construction techniques, materials, and practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • ACI and concrete-specific certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
