Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Coordinator to join our team at ACCO Engineered Systems. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and project team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing internal department relationships, including accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, and fabrication shops.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to scope, price, and deliver purchased items, and coordinate installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage job progress onsite, leveraging your design expertise to solve emergent operational and installation challenges.
  • Oversee and process daily administrative items, including document control, RFIs, dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, and procurement logs, as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and on budget, planning work, tracking labor, material, and deliveries, and project cost at completion.
  • Evaluate and escalate potential problems, assisting the Project Manager in driving solutions to their complete resolution.
  • Maintain and develop viable relationships with customers, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade personnel by attending job kick-off, job progress, foreman, and OAC meetings, interfacing with installers, suppliers, and subcontractors, and managing subcontractors to meet project expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or 3-5 years of industry experience or a combination of experience and education.
  • High sense of integrity, business ethics, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency and proven success in interpersonal relationship building skills and positive customer service interactions.
  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills, including the ability to listen and follow directions.

Work Schedule

This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 6:00am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.

Travel

As required from time to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or to project/customer site(s).
