Position Title: Project Developer

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Developer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting site assessments to collect necessary information for scheduling and tracking project progress.
  • Collaborating with department managers to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure project timelines are met and bids/costs are accurate.
  • Performing audits on bookings to guarantee standardization and quality of documentation.
  • Engaging with clients to facilitate invoicing, billing, and receivables, ensuring project closure and managing expectations.
  • Supporting projects that require reporting to third parties or government entities.
  • Working closely with warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate quotes.
  • Developing and finalizing written scopes of work related to quoted projects, services, or repairs.
  • Analyzing and reporting on financial data to support retrofit operations and identify areas needing adjustment or further investigation.
  • Coordinating with operations for a seamless handoff during project closeout.
  • Creating and completing bid templates related to quoted projects, services, or repairs.
  • Preparing and reviewing booking packages, quotes, and other relevant documents.
  • Utilizing expertise to amend and adjust scopes, bid templates, and presentation documents as necessary.
  • Participating in networking events to foster business relationships.
  • Actively pursuing and driving new business opportunities for the team.
  • Collaborating with project managers, construction managers, and other personnel to achieve departmental goals and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC commercial services or a related field.
  • A strong willingness to learn the technical aspects necessary for project estimation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Financial literacy, including the ability to interpret spreadsheets and perform forecasting.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel.
  • A valid driver's license and compliance with company driving policies.
