Low Voltage Project Manager

As a Low Voltage Project Manager at Intelligent Fire Systems & Solutions, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage systems projects, including fire alarm, communication, and security systems. This role involves coordinating with clients, managing project teams, and working with other project coordinators and operations managers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Review project specifications, bid set drawings, and all addendums. Perform site visits to verify field conditions and generate a rough material list.
- Communication: Reach out to clients and/or general contractors to introduce yourself as Project Manager. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any changes or challenges. Facilitate weekly safety tailgate meetings and address client concerns and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Scheduling: Schedule inspections, rough, final, and acceptance testing. Create job schedules for installation, testing, and commissioning as required by contract.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, completion percentages, change orders, and progress reports. Prepare and submit project reports, including financials, progress metrics, and project outcomes.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations. Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to guarantee that installations meet company standards and client expectations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience managing low voltage systems projects, with at least 2 years in a project management role preferred.
- F-Card, NICET, OSHA-30, Lift, CPR, and Siemens (or other) Programming Certifications (required).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and engineering software applications.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
