The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive operations and maintenance of solar energy projects and associated facilities. This position is vital to ensuring safety and optimizing operational efficiency in alignment with our mission: enhancing safety standards, elevating the technical expertise of our workforce, boosting production, minimizing operational costs, and standardizing global processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the highest standards of health and safety within the project environment, including proper use of safety gear and proactive hazard identification.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of equipment related to assets. Develop and implement maintenance and repair strategies.
  • Transport essential tools and materials to the work site as needed.
  • Achieve operational performance objectives (availability, dispatch, power output, budget adherence, etc.) for the designated solar project.
  • Ensure compliance with contracted operational and maintenance requirements for the wind farm.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, including those during scheduled outages, to track failure history and root causes.
  • Lead, train, and inspire the personnel assigned to the solar project.
  • Prepare the annual operations and maintenance budget and propose capital improvements.
  • Oversee the activities of the O&M Contractor to ensure compliance with performance targets and contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in operations and/or maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, with at least 2 years in the solar sector and 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • A degree from an accredited institution can substitute for 2 years of experience if it meets specific criteria in technical sciences.
    • Current Journeyman or Master Electrician Licenses, or Wind Technician Certification can substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to guide operations teams towards achieving objectives efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven experience in engaging with both management and technical teams, with strong skills in human relations and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing customer relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrated interest in the company and the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Capable of multitasking while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Ability to empathize and build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Responsive to guidance, open to challenges, and coachable.
  • Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of business concepts.
  • Support project construction through QA/QC inspections and contractor management as required.
  • This role is primarily office-based, with some travel to various locations as necessary.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the project site.
