The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive operations and maintenance of solar energy projects and associated facilities. This position is vital to ensuring safety standards are upheld while maximizing operational efficiency in line with our mission: enhancing safety, expanding technical expertise, boosting production, minimizing operational costs, and standardizing global processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety protocols within the designated project area, including proper usage of essential safety gear and identifying potential job hazards.
- Conduct inspections and evaluations of equipment related to assets. Develop and oversee maintenance and repair initiatives.
- Transport essential tools, equipment, and materials to the job site as needed.
- Ensure that operational performance metrics (availability, dispatch, power/performance, budgets, etc.) are met for the assigned solar project.
- Guarantee that the operation and maintenance of the solar facility adhere to contractual obligations and performance benchmarks.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities, including those conducted during scheduled outages and overhauls, to track failure history, mean time between failures, and root causes.
- Lead, train, and inspire personnel assigned to the solar project.
- Prepare the annual operations and maintenance budget and propose capital improvements or enhancements.
- Oversee the activities of the O&M Contractor to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and performance targets.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- At least 7 years of experience in operations and/or maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, with a minimum of 2 years in the solar sector and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- A degree from an accredited institution can substitute for 2 years of experience if it meets specific criteria in technical sciences.
- Current Journeyman License, Master Electrician License, or Wind Technician Certification can substitute for 1 year of experience.
- Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to guide operations teams towards achieving objectives efficiently and effectively.
- Proven experience in interacting with both management and technical teams, with strong skills in human relations and conflict resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to manage customer relationships effectively.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn about the company and the renewable energy sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and equipped with strong problem-solving skills.

- This role is primarily office-based with some travel required to various field locations.
