The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive operations and maintenance of solar energy projects and associated facilities. This position is pivotal in ensuring safety standards are upheld while maximizing operational efficiency in line with our mission: enhancing safety, elevating the technical expertise of our workforce, boosting production, minimizing operational costs, and standardizing processes on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of health and safety protocols on the assigned project site, including the proper use of safety equipment and the identification of potential hazards.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of equipment related to the assets. Develop and implement maintenance and repair strategies.
  • Transport essential tools and materials to the job site as required.
  • Ensure that operational performance metrics (availability, dispatch, power output, budget adherence, etc.) are met for the designated solar project.
  • Guarantee that the operation and maintenance of the solar facility align with contractual obligations and performance benchmarks.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, including those performed during scheduled outages, to track failure history and identify root causes.
  • Oversee, mentor, and inspire personnel assigned to the solar project.
  • Prepare the annual operations and maintenance budget and propose enhancements or capital improvements.
  • Supervise the O&M Contractor's activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and performance goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • At least 7 years of experience in operations and/or maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, with a minimum of 2 years in the solar sector and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • A degree from an accredited institution can substitute for 2 years of experience if it is in a relevant technical field.
    • Current Journeyman or Master Electrician Licenses, or Wind Technician Certification can substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing is required.
  • Ability to guide operations teams towards achieving objectives and motivating them to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with both management and technical teams, with strong skills in human relations and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing customer relationships effectively.
  • Proven interest in the renewable energy sector and the company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Capable of multitasking while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Ability to empathize and build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Receptive to feedback and development opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of business principles.
  • Support construction projects through QA/QC inspections and contractor management as necessary.
  • This role is primarily office-based with some travel required to various locations.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
  • Residency within a reasonable commuting distance from the site is expected.
