The individual will collaborate within diverse project teams focused on capital enhancements addressing specific operational challenges. Additionally, this position acts as a facilitator for innovative improvement strategies and their execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the installation of electrical and control systems or plant infrastructure.
- Assess product specifications and performance criteria to devise designs compatible with current manufacturing capabilities.
- Evaluate the practicality of creating new plant equipment or modifying existing systems, taking into account costs, spatial constraints, time restrictions, and other technical and economic considerations.
- Provide expert technical insights regarding manufacturing techniques, material properties, and process advantages that influence long-term engineering planning.
- Direct and coordinate the enhancement of machinery and plant systems.
- Analyze engineering test outcomes for potential applications in system development or other uses.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Lead and oversee all tasks related to electrical systems, process controls, and instrumentation design.
- Engage with engineers and personnel to implement operational protocols, resolve system issues, and share technical knowledge.
- Research and assess design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility, costs, and maintenance needs.
- Specify system components or guide modifications to ensure compliance with engineering designs and performance standards.
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain electrical and control systems to fulfill requirements, applying engineering principles.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions to diagnose operational issues and recommend solutions to maintenance teams.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with SAP software is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Design expertise and capability in presenting technical information.
- Focus on quality, consulting skills, production planning, and technical enthusiasm.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in heavy industry or paper production.
- 2-3 years of experience in capital project management.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.
- Able to manage multiple complex tasks and thrive under pressure.
- Skilled in motivating teams, effective communication, and driving continuous improvement.
- Attention to detail while maintaining a broad perspective and a results-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, leadership, and administrative capabilities.
- Proven track record in process improvement and project management.
