Position Overview:

The role entails independent oversight within the second line of defense (LoD2) Technology Risk team at Truist, focusing on risk management across various Technology Risk Framework domains and Business Unit Technology areas.

Key Responsibilities:
As an individual contributor, you will:

  • Provide independent risk oversight for Truist Technology, ensuring effective identification, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting of technology and related risks, including operational and compliance risks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Technology Risk Framework, identifying and addressing technology risks proactively.
  • Conduct independent assessments of technology maturity and control adequacy to support business performance, stability, security, and service availability.
  • Foster a proactive risk culture through effective management and collaboration with technology teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and challenge the outcomes of first-line risk program execution.
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance, and audit matters within assigned Technology oversight areas, ensuring timely responses.
  • Contribute to complex projects that may impact technology and enterprise-wide risk management.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in interdisciplinary and matrix environments.

Qualifications:
Required:
The following qualifications are essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in banking, technology, operations, or risk management.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility across all management levels.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work products.
  • Comfortable with data analysis to derive valuable insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:
Additional qualifications that are advantageous include:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree in Business Management, Technology, or Finance.
  • Familiarity with risk measurement methodologies, including Key Risk Indicators and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Experience with enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance (eGRC) platforms (e.g., RSA Archer).
  • Project Management certification.
