As a key partner to Enterprise Technology colleagues and stakeholders in designated oversight areas, you will provide guidance on risk-related matters, effectively challenge risk programs, and independently assess technology risks within the Truist framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver independent risk oversight for Truist Technology, offering consultation to Business Units through the identification, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting of technology and related risks, including operational and compliance risks.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the Technology Risk Framework, identifying, reporting, and mitigating technology risks.
- Conduct independent evaluations of technology maturity and the effectiveness of controls to ensure business objectives are met regarding performance, stability, security, and service availability.
- Promote a proactive risk culture by engaging in effective risk management and collaboration with technology teams and internal partners.
- Review and challenge the outcomes of first-line risk program implementations.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance, and audit issues within assigned Technology oversight areas, ensuring timely responses.
- Contribute to complex projects that may have significant technology and enterprise-wide implications beyond risk management.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in interdisciplinary and matrix environments.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in banking, technology, operations, or risk management.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing credibility with all management levels.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work consistently.
- Comfortable with data analysis to extract valuable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in Business Management, Technology, or Finance.
- Familiarity with risk measurement methodologies, including the development of Key Risk Indicators and associated reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience with enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance (eGRC) platforms (e.g., RSA Archer).
- Project Management certification.
