Job Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of exterior areas within various commercial and institutional environments, including retail spaces, healthcare facilities, and hospitality venues.


Key Responsibilities:
Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

  • Dusts and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and decorative trim.
  • Maintains cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  • Conducts sweeping, scrubbing, finishing, and polishing of floors.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment to ensure a pristine environment.
  • Polishes metal fixtures and surfaces.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork to maintain a fresh appearance.
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills for optimal visibility.
  • Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays regularly.
  • Transports waste and trash to designated disposal areas.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Education and Experience:
No prior experience or training is required.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in English.


Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:
No computer skills are necessary.

Certificates and Licenses:
No certifications are required.
