Position Summary:

The Grounds and Facility Maintenance Associate will support the Facility & Grounds Manager in maintaining the daily operations of the facility's buildings and grounds, as well as assisting with event preparations. This role involves performing various manual tasks that require specialized knowledge gained through training and experience. The Associate will also oversee and assist team members in completing maintenance tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of buildings, turf fields, grass areas, and communal spaces.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with management and contractors to optimize facility usage.
  • Operate and maintain sports-related equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on turf fields, soccer goals, lacrosse goals, basketball goals, volleyball nets, and event flooring.
  • Utilize machinery and equipment effectively.
  • Keep track of inventory, supplies, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure all documentation is current and accurate.
  • Complete special projects and daily tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Prior experience with landscaping and grounds maintenance tools and practices.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in general landscaping maintenance.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possession or ability to obtain a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Responsibilities may include painting, cleaning equipment, and safely handling various chemical compounds.
  • Tasks may involve exposure to dirt and dust.
  • Physical activities may include reaching, crouching, kneeling, shoveling, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to navigate the facility for extended periods.
  • Climbing to elevated areas may be required to complete tasks.
  • Facility may experience intermittent noise levels.
