Job Overview:
The Custodial Technician is responsible for performing cleaning tasks associated with the upkeep of commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all assigned tasks following the training provided and adhering to Corporate, Project, and/or Contractual standards.
  • Carry out all duties safely and in compliance with Company/Project safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all work meets quality expectations and aligns with Corporate, Project, and/or Contractual Quality standards.
  • Dry mops, sanitizes, and wet mops floors.
  • Maintains cleanliness of baseboards, corners, and edges.
  • Conducts spot cleaning of walls, doors, and windows as necessary.
  • Vacuums carpeted areas.
  • Disinfects restroom facilities including commodes, urinals, showers, partitions, floors, and walls.
  • Maintains cleanliness in group/shower locker rooms, including all vertical and horizontal surfaces.
  • Restocks restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers, and soap dispensers.
  • Ensures breakrooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Empties waste receptacles.
  • Collects recyclables and disposes of them in designated areas.
  • Cleans water fountains.
  • Wipes down interior and exterior glass surfaces.
  • Mixes cleaning chemicals and solutions as required.
  • Identifies and reports the need for repairs to furniture, buildings, and fixtures.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Communicates effectively with management, employees, and clients.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Safety Protocols:
  • Adheres to and actively participates in the Occupational Safety & Health Program.
  • Conducts all work safely to prevent injuries and property damage.
  • Follows safety guidelines including job hazard analysis and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the Company/Project Safety Culture through personal example.
  • Monitors safety compliance among team members and takes corrective action when necessary.
  • Reports all workplace injuries, unsafe conditions, and property damage immediately.
  • Utilizes and enforces the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Always wears a seatbelt when operating or riding in vehicles during work activities.
  • Avoids distractions such as phone calls or texting while driving for work.
  • Maintains fitness for work, free from substances that impair performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to necessary facilities.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of recent experience in commercial cleaning services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with government contracts is advantageous.
