As a Business Development Associate, you will work closely with our Media Sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and execute sales strategies, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve demo booking goals and provide an excellent experience for prospective customers
  • Work with the Media Sales team to build strategies to engage with top clients
  • Connect with prospects through written and verbal communication to book demos and drive deal closure
  • Drive engagement with prospects through personally crafted sequences and/or marketing provided materials via Highspot
  • Act as a consultant to understand client needs and business priorities and address them head-on
  • Work closely with senior business development representatives to grow knowledge of client needs and the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Document the details of each prospective client interaction in Salesforce to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure
  • Consistently follow up on prospective client inquiries
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related majors
  • 1+ year of successful sales experience with a technology product preferred
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
  • Experience in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital preferred
  • Love to prospect and act as the engine of our sales team
  • Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
  • Highly curious with a positive attitude
  • Have terrific prioritization skills to handle the large volume of leads efficiently
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and can effectively close leads
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to try new ideas
  • Self-motivated, persistent, goal-oriented attitude, and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
Benefits and Compensation:
  • Annual base salary: $62,500
  • Annual on-target variable commission: $30,000
  • PitchBook currently has no cap on commission and commission is determined by individual performance

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week.

The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 4+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role.

During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
