The primary responsibility of this position involves accurately entering transportation documentation into the company's system and subsequently forwarding it to the billing department.

This role is currently offered as a contract position, featuring a hybrid work schedule where employees are expected to be in the office on designated days while working remotely on others. The compensation for this role is projected to be between $22-$24 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage phone calls, welcome visitors, and uphold a tidy workspace.
  • Examine transportation documents for accuracy and input them into the system.
  • Handle correspondence and distribute driver-related paperwork, including invoices.
  • Coordinate with third-party carriers to allocate orders and verify that rates align with invoices.
  • Perform data entry for all heavy haul loads and urgent shipments, ensuring rate accuracy.
  • Execute accounts payable tasks using the company credit card for minor expenses at terminals.
  • Maintain files for DOT and truck/trailer maintenance in compliance with regulations.
  • Inform management of any safety compliance issues or other concerns.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with GeoTab is highly desirable.
  • Background in logistics or transportation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding hours of service.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
