Role Summary

We are in search of a Director of Business Development who will spearhead the identification and cultivation of new IT business prospects for the organization through strategic inbound and outbound initiatives. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and should possess a robust background in managing sales operations within a performance-driven IT sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieving and surpassing departmental activity and revenue targets.
  • Attracting, nurturing, and developing high-caliber talent.
  • Ensuring adherence to established sales and marketing rhythms.
  • Holding the sales team accountable for their performance.
  • Overseeing the team through activity metrics, generating sufficient forecasting opportunities to meet revenue goals.
  • Leading a team of outbound business development representatives (BDRs), ensuring consistent high levels of sales activity through prospecting calls, social media engagement, sales and marketing campaigns, presentations, and referrals.
  • Providing insights and recommendations on sales tools, technologies, processes, and best practices to enhance outcomes and results for the BDR team.
  • Contributing to strategy and content development for internal initiatives, collaborating with creative and marketing teams to provide constructive feedback aimed at process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in information technology, imaging office technology, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years in outbound IT sales management is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is necessary.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, training, and motivating staff.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for training end users and preparing necessary reports.
  • Proficient in Excel, including template creation, formula development, and data filtering.
  • Skilled in Word for creating and updating business documentation.
