Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant

Medicine for Business and Industry (MBI) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional healthcare services to patients in an occupational medicine setting. As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physician to deliver high-quality patient care and adhere to established clinical practice principles.
Responsibilities:
Review past medical history, family history, social history, and review of symptoms to determine capacity to safely perform specified job functions.
Perform physical examinations of the eyes, ears, head, neck, chest, heart, abdomen, back, extremities, male genitals (for hernias), neurologic systems, general condition, height, weight, vital signs, vision, hearing, and/or electrocardiograms.
Evaluate and manage common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and upper and lower extremities, work-related injuries to the head with or without loss of consciousness, work-related injuries to the chest or abdomen, with the possibility of hernias, work-related lacerations of the face and extremities which do not impair function or sensation, work-related foreign bodies to the eye, and other non-penetrating eye injuries or conditions of the eye that do not affect vision, occupational asthma and other work-related respiratory symptoms.
Order and interpret appropriate radiographs, recommend and apply ace bandages, braces, splints, and casts as appropriate, treat non-displaced uncomplicated fractures, refer for specialized testing such as MRI, EMG as necessary and appropriate, refer for specialty care as appropriate, and identify appropriate limitations to activity at home and work.
Requirements:
Master's degree and valid, unrestricted state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
FMCSA certification for DOT exams, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Current CPR certification.
NRCME certification.
Ability to exercise high levels of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to meet organizational goals in a dynamic business environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clear and effective verbal and written communication.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation; ability to build relationships with staff, patients, and clients.
Must maintain confidentiality.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
