Role Overview

We are in search of a Director of Business Development who will be instrumental in identifying and nurturing new IT business prospects for the organization through strategic inbound and outbound initiatives. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and possess a robust background in managing sales operations within a performance-driven IT sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieving and surpassing departmental activity and revenue targets.
  • Attracting, developing, and retaining high-caliber talent.
  • Ensuring adherence to established sales and marketing protocols.
  • Holding the sales team accountable for their performance.
  • Overseeing team activities through performance metrics, ensuring adequate forecasting opportunities to meet revenue goals.
  • Leading a team of outbound business development representatives (BDRs), ensuring they maintain a high level of sales activity through various outreach methods, including calls, social media engagement, and marketing campaigns.
  • Providing strategic input on sales tools, technologies, processes, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the BDR team.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to provide strategic content and feedback to improve overall processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in information technology, office imaging technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in outbound IT sales management.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and motivating team members.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting purposes.
  • Proficient in Excel for data management and analysis.
  • Proficient in Word for document creation and updates.
