Job Overview

Position Title: Landfill Site Manager

Department: Waste Management Operations

Reports to: Vice President of Waste Management Operations

Noble Environmental Specialty Services is seeking a qualified individual to manage the daily operations and development of a landfill facility. The Site Manager will be tasked with planning, coordinating, and overseeing landfill activities, ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and analytical skills to achieve set objectives.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and effective communication skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of safe work practices and the operational hazards associated with landfill management.
  • Direct and manage the landfill's operational activities safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers, including safety, engineering, and risk management, to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Understand and comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations pertaining to waste management.
  • Ensure facility operations align with established plans and permits.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance and repairs for heavy equipment and landfill infrastructure.
  • Maintain organized records of purchases and expenses for budgeting and financial tracking.
  • Develop and oversee team schedules to optimize resource use and task completion.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports and records of landfill operations for both internal and external review.
  • Regularly review and update safety and operational protocols as necessary.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite proficiently for documentation and reporting.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process, ensuring proper training and onboarding for new employees.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in solid waste management or civil engineering.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in site development and operations within a heavy equipment environment.
  • Work will be conducted in both office and outdoor settings, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
