Job Summary

The Scheduling Coordinator is a key member of our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters, responsible for coordinating overall service area schedules and activities. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on providing excellent patient care and ensuring seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Area Coordination: Serve as a patient liaison for scheduling of services, ensuring accurate data collection, documentation, and data retrieval.
  • Clerical and Secretarial Support: Provide project management functions for the service area, including interfaces and communications with multiple departments.
  • Scheduling and Data Management: Utilize scheduling software to maintain updated schedules, sort and file materials correctly, and coordinate multiple schedules based on individual preferences and guidelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively gather and exchange information in both oral and written communications, with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or GED, with ability to relate well with the public and effectively communicate with patients and staff.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Ability to utilize scheduling software, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong computer skills.
Working Conditions

This role is based in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and other environmental factors.
