Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented LPN Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at Amedisys. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling home visits for our field staff and assisting with the coordination of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scheduling and Coordination: Ensure patient assessment visits, including Oasis visits, are scheduled and performed timely. Prepare weekly clinician schedules and review them daily to determine capacity opportunities and ensure productivity standards are met.
  2. Field Staff Management: Ensure clinicians are assigned and scheduled in the most efficient geography, maximizing clinician efficiency and productivity. Ensure missed visits are scheduled by the end of the current week or referred to the Clinical Manager for resolution.
  3. Patient Communication: Manage calls from patients and field staff related to scheduling issues. Refers clinical and performance-related issues to the Clinical Manager.
  4. Reporting and Administration: Run all applicable reports and respond to workflow, taking appropriate actions. Assist with internal or external transfer of patients between care centers and/or Hospice services.
Requirements
  1. Licensure: Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse specific to the state the employee is assigned to work by the company.
  2. Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  3. Experience: One (1+) year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Scheduling Experience: One (1+) year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment.
