Job Title: Healthcare Intake Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Healthcare Intake Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for processing high volumes of inbound calls from providers, members, and pharmacies, verifying member benefits and eligibility, and documenting all pertinent information related to the inquiry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process a high volume of inbound calls from providers, members, and pharmacies
  • Verify member benefits and eligibility or provider set up, screen inquiries to determine if authorization is required
  • Document all pertinent information related to the inquiry, attaching any supporting information as applicable
  • Navigate multiple computer screens and applications simultaneously
  • Maintain and update requests and research incorrect or missing information
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of high volume call center experience
  • Must have 1+ year of pharmacy and healthcare experience
  • MS Office experience required
  • Proven ability to maintain an excellent attendance record
What We Offer:
  • Remote opportunity, must live in North Carolina
  • $23.84/hour pay rate
  • 6 month assignment with the possibility of extension
  • Monday-Friday schedule 8am-5pm, must have flexibility to work until all calls in queue are cleared
