Hardware Compliance Technical Program Manager

As a Technical Program Manager specializing in Hardware Compliance within the Hardware Compliance Engineering division, you will collaborate with a skilled cross-functional team that includes engineering, product management, operations, and legal departments to execute our compliance strategy. Your role will require in-depth knowledge of compliance and certification protocols, as you oversee activities related to wireless, safety, and industry compliance.

This position entails working closely with external certification organizations and testing facilities to ensure that Amazon products adhere to international compliance standards. Your impact will be felt throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from initial concept through to ongoing support. The ability to synthesize feedback from various stakeholders, create cohesive plans, identify risks, and prioritize tasks for timely delivery is essential. You will effectively communicate objectives, requirements, risks, and timelines to both internal teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the complete program strategy, execution, and risk management to guarantee the successful launch of new products.
  2. Engage with HW Compliance Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Operations, and other essential cross-functional partners throughout all program phases.
  3. Ensure the preparation and delivery of critical compliance documentation necessary for international certification approval.
  4. Deliver projects in a dynamic and often unpredictable environment, showcasing leadership, technical expertise, and strong communication abilities.
  5. Establish and document processes aimed at enhancing efficiency and minimizing operational complexity.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 1+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development.
  • 1+ years of experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, as well as risk and critical path management.
  • Experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, developing processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
