As a Technical Program Manager in the Hardware Compliance Engineering division, you will collaborate with a skilled cross-functional team encompassing engineering, product management, operations, and legal departments to facilitate the execution of our compliance strategy. Your role will require in-depth knowledge of compliance and certification protocols, overseeing activities related to wireless, safety, and industry compliance. This position entails working closely with external certification agencies and testing facilities to guarantee that Amazon products adhere to international compliance regulations. Your impact will be felt throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from initial concept to ongoing support.

The ability to synthesize input from various stakeholders, create cohesive plans, pinpoint risks, and prioritize effectively is essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for clearly articulating objectives, requirements, risks, and timelines to internal teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage comprehensive program strategies, execution, and risk assessments to ensure the successful introduction of new products.
  2. Engage with HW Compliance Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Operations, and other critical stakeholders throughout all stages of the program.
  3. Oversee the creation and submission of essential compliance documentation for global certification approval.
  4. Deliver projects in a dynamic and often unpredictable environment, showcasing leadership, technical proficiency, and exceptional communication skills.
  5. Establish and document processes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing complexity.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 1+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development.
  • 1+ years of experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.
  • Experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, developing processes, and coordinating release timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
