Position Overview:

LinkedIn is in search of a seasoned Senior Engineering Risk & Compliance Lead to become an integral part of our Engineering Systems and Compliance team. In this crucial position, you will oversee and manage comprehensive engineering compliance activities within the organization. This includes establishing and maintaining compliance processes and controls that encompass various compliance programs such as SOX, MRC, DMA, and DSA. You will work collaboratively with engineering and product teams, legal and finance partners, regulatory functions, and other stakeholders to formulate, implement, and scale compliance strategies. This role necessitates robust engineering and compliance expertise for effective evaluations of technical system designs, a deep understanding of regulatory landscapes, and proficiency in developing automated compliance controls and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain engineering compliance control environments by collaborating with relevant teams to monitor and interpret applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough technical compliance assessments for engineering projects at both application and infrastructure levels to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Formulate technical recommendations for system process enhancements aimed at mitigating risks and fulfilling compliance obligations.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions and processes that ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of the system control environment.
  • Support audit preparations and collaborate with management and compliance stakeholders to remain informed about new compliance requirements.
  • Design and deliver training sessions on compliance requirements and best practices for engineering and systems teams.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with engineering control owners, compliance partners, finance, and legal teams to develop successful compliance programs aligned with LinkedIn's strategic goals.

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technology compliance services or a related area.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology compliance across various domains, including Access Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, and Information Security.
  • 2+ years of experience with code reviews, system designs, or data analysis.

Preferred:

  • MS in Management Information Systems or MBA.
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering compliance, systems audit, or IT SOX within the technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and technology compliance.
  • Proven experience in conducting engineering and system compliance evaluations.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance frameworks, including SOX, DMA, DSA, and GDPR.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
