Job Overview

At Pop-Up Talent, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract and Compliance Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for enhancing our company's ability to grow and prosper by formalizing and continuously improving compliance and risk management practices.

The Protector:

  • Develop and implement compliance and risk management strategies to protect the company from potential losses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the subcontractor onboarding process to ensure seamless integration with our operations.
  • Implement and roll out our prequalification process to ensure vendors meet our compliance standards.
  • Provide education and guidance to the team on general and specific compliance risks, as well as vendor selection best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate subcontractor risks, including those related to financial performance and reliability.
  • Improve the efficiency of our Master Service Agreement (MSA) review and negotiation process.
  • Manage MSA negotiations and executions to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with our Project Execution, Project Management, and Accounting teams to address onboarding and compliance issues.
  • Review and score subcontractors in our prequalification system to ensure they meet our compliance requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor insurance compliance onboarding and updates in our system.
  • Provide information for our annual insurance audit.
  • Manage our annual compliance audit to ensure we meet industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with commercial insurance and construction industry developments to expand our knowledge and effectiveness.

Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of vendor compliance, including W-9 forms and licenses.
  • Manage subcontractor licenses via the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) website.
  • Ensure vendors are properly insured and compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Provide ad-hoc compliance reporting to support business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in project accounting platforms, including Paperless, Sage 300 CRE, and Greenlight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications and programs.
  • Strong knowledge of subcontractor insurance and compliance requirements.
  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance management within the construction industry.
