Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Inventory Specialist, you will:

  • Ensure timely availability of parts for maintenance tasks.
  • Procure maintenance and machine repair components in accordance with OEM specifications and safety standards.
  • Uphold ethical business practices by soliciting quotes from multiple suppliers.
  • Identify and establish cost-effective vendors and suppliers within the USA.
  • Maintain an updated list of suppliers in the maintenance management system.
  • Oversee MP2 Inventory, Work Order, Equipment, and Purchasing Modules, collaborating with the system administrator as necessary.
  • Manage maintenance spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime and production loss.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy (1 to 2 weekly).
  • Track parts movement to establish inventory usage history and set minimum/maximum reorder points.
  • Assist and train ALPLA employees in utilizing MP2 inventory and related modules.
  • Handle shipping, receiving, and inventory control of all machine spare parts.
  • Collaborate with other ALPLA facilities on inventory sharing.

While performing the duties of this position:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally climb or balance.
  • Frequently required to use hands for handling, feeling, and occasionally sit.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Technical/Trade School Certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is recommended.
