We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for performing essential preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they remain in optimal condition.
Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Inspections: Examine vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools to determine the root causes of problems.
- Performing Routine Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and inspections of belts and hoses to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
- Executing Repairs: Repair or replace faulty components, which may involve rebuilding engines, replacing fuel injectors, and addressing electrical system issues.
- Testing Equipment: Ensure repaired equipment functions correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing, making necessary adjustments.
- Maintaining Records: Keep detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used to track the history of each vehicle, ensuring timely maintenance.
- Adhering to Safety Protocols: Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
As a Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will also be expected to stay updated with advancements in technology, tools, and techniques related to diesel engines and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- CDL Class B or willingness to obtain one
- Experience with coach buses is a plus
- Able to pass a DOT physical
- Successful completion of a background check
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- At least 2 years of experience with diesel engines required
- Familiarity with HVAC, engine (Cummins/Detroit), transmission, air brake systems, steering/suspension, and electrical systems preferred
- Strong diagnostic skills, both electrical and mechanical
- Must provide own tools
- Dependable transportation required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Desire to learn and grow with the company
