Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a Warehouse Inventory Specialist at Total Joint Orthopedics, you will be integral to the efficient functioning of our distribution center, ensuring the prompt delivery of orthopedic medical devices and instruments. Your role encompasses a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare shipments, selecting the most cost-effective and efficient shipping methods while ensuring items are securely packed for safe transit.
  • Receiving and Verification: Manage incoming shipments by comparing packing slips with purchase orders to confirm the accuracy of deliveries.
  • Compliance Inspection: Compile and assess incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure adherence to specifications and operational standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain comprehensive records of damaged, defective, and expired products utilizing our inventory management systems.
  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to source alternative products as needed.
  • ERP Utilization: Ensure effective inventory control through our ERP system.
  • Safety Compliance: Uphold cleanliness and maintenance of tools, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Adaptability: Adjust to the evolving needs of a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Team Support: Provide assistance to Customer Service and Operations teams as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Availability: Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine existing procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Logistics Management: Establish and oversee logistics to maintain inventory control.
  • Detail Orientation: Maintain organization and a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in shipping and handling preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical devices is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency; experience with ERP/Inventory software is a plus.
  • Work Ethic: A strong desire to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial atmosphere.
  • Legal Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
